When learning a new language, my first advice is "be bold and speak what you know". Do not be afraid of failure, or concerned on what others may think of your accent, or grammar. Learning a new language can be quite challenging, though it is not easy, it's achievable.
Some may ask how long does it take to learn English? The amount of time it takes to learn English varies from person to person and depends on factors such as:
a) Learner's age.
b) Learner's educational background.
c) Learner's level of literacy in the native language.
d) Learner's opportunities to interact with native English speakers.
Based on this, be patience with yourself, and allow yourself to make mistakes, after all correction is Love.
Whether you are at a Beginner or an Intermediate level, practice and speak what you know.
Helpful tips.
1. Write a sentence evey day. (Buy a special diary)
2. Watch your favourite movie in English. (See how they interact with each other)
3. Speak English at home. (With your parents, spouse, flatmate, even with your pet if you have any)
4. Read in English. (Books, magazines, newspapers, it is great for vocabulary development)
5. Whatever you like the most learn it in English. (Films, games, songs, sports, etc)
6. Think in English. (Would you like a tea?, did you have a good sleep?, today is going to be a productive day)
7. Learn what you can immediately apply. (I need to buy a pen, I must go to the supermarket before it closes, what time is it? etc)
